My background is teaching Arabic language and literature, though I have studied three languages in addition to Arabic which I am majored in. These languages are French, Spanish, and English. I taught Arabic language and literature to native speakers for four years in Lebanon.
I taught Arabic as a foreign language in both the U.S and Canada.
Since 2010, I have been teaching French and Arabic Studies at Appleby College for different levels.
I earned my Master of Arts in Foreign Languages teaching through Michigan State University and my Final Experiential Module Project focused on curriculum design and teachers’ materials.
I chose to create teachers’ materials and design an online Arabic course directed for learners who are in the advanced level of Arabic. More details can be seen on the website under Experiential Module.
I am also a French teacher and have taught French for all levels, from grades 8-12.
I have presented in both the United States and Canada for the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Ontario Modern Languages Association (OMLTA). I am a member of the Canadian Association of Second Language teachers (CASLT), Ontario Modern Language Teachers Associations (OMLTA), American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
